J&B Recycling recently welcomed Business Development Manager, Charlie Payne, to the team.

Joining us in November 2019, Charlie’s role is to aid the continued growth and development of the company. So far, his work has concentrated on bringing in new business and raising awareness of J&B’s brand.

Charlie said: “J&B Recycling already has a great reputation however I am looking forward to pushing the brand awareness further as the company offers a wide range of services such as general waste collections that run alongside the recycling collections.

“The more customers who see the J&B vehicles and J&B bins we get out there, the more people hear about us.

“If a potential client sees a J&B bin next door to their premises, they are more likely to have a look and give us a call.”

Charlie’s role focuses on following up business leads and using a consultant based approach to help clients increase their recycling rates and ensure they get the best value for money. He also works closely with the accounts and transport team to ensure accounts are successfully set up and services are delivered on time.

He added: “J&B has a real family and customer orientated ethos to give a more personal experience.

“I wanted to take the opportunity to work with this company as their values and focus on growing the business supports me in an open field to bring in more business. I can assist with increasing the company's commercial clients and assisting with more growth for the company.”

With approximately four years' experience in business development within the waste management industry, Charlie has used his degree in Marketing Management to develop his skills and knowledge.

He said: “We are focusing on increasing route optimisation and processing as much waste as we can following the investment on automation upgrades to the plant.

“Over time I hope to progress into a sales manager role and continue to help the company to develop.”

J&B Recycling has recently undergone changes to expand its facilities and increase the capacity of the company.
