J&B Recycling is thrilled to see its customers starting to return after the lifting of coronavirus restrictions and businesses opening up again.
We have resumed to a service level of 62% on collections so far and are delighted to welcome back our commercial customers as we look towards the future.
Although our collection of local authority kerbside tonnage increased by up to 30% during lockdown, we experienced a considerable drop by over 60% in commercial tonnages due to the enforced Government lockdown. 68% of our commercial bin collections were suspended and we had reduced deliveries of commercial waste into our sites to be processed.
Vikki Jackson-Smith, Managing Director at J&B Recycling, said: “Through implementing swift action at the beginning of lockdown, we reorganised the commercial collection routes to effectively cover areas and ensure continued servicing for the customers who were providing essential work.
“We are delighted to see these collections and customers returning to business following the lockdown.”
J&B Recycling was operating at a service level of 16% for three weeks at the beginning of lockdown. The return has been slightly higher than we have forecasted to have back and it is excellent to see so many businesses returning and hopefully prospering in the light of everything that has happened.
We are looking forward to the return of our further customers to work and wish them the best of luck in re-opening their services within the new landscape that Covid has found us in.
